Systems Engineering A/S co-pilots the RDS4X initiative — sharing ISO/IEC 81346 practice since 1996 and AI-supported tooling to make RDS adoption easier across engineering disciplines.
Systems Engineering A/S is pleased to co‑pilot the implementation initiative within RDS4X. We contribute by sharing our experience and knowledge of the ISO/IEC 81346 standard series (“RDS”), built over many years of practical work and recognized through, among other things, the IEC 1906 Award for our contribution to this particular standard series.
We focus on solving daily life problems for engineering using the RDS technique, which we believe is of general importance to everyone who has an interest in different use cases of RDS. Among these are:
We aim to share concrete examples within the RDS4X community that illustrate how the RDS 81346 Reference Model can be used in practice, for instance within impact analysis, interface management, variant configuration, asset management, and requirements management.
The work builds on years of practical implementation experience from more than 50 companies across multiple industries and technologies.
Systems Engineering A/S is contributing to this initiative by sharing our ongoing work with RDS principles and ISO/IEC 81346 at an international level.
Our hope is that a continued, open sharing of knowledge and practical insight from work with RDS since 1996, and from our involvement in developing the current editions of the standard series, will help make the adoption of RDS more approachable, particularly for newcomers.
By combining technical insights, tool support, and management perspectives, we aim to support a smoother learning and implementation process.
We make regular updates of our shared information free of charge to be found on our website www.81346.com as well as signing up for RDS 81346 newsletters and regular free webinars.
